Whether you Want to Publish a Book or a Journal Article, Hiring a Professional Editor is Essential.
In the shifting landscape of writing and research, many doctorates and professionals are looking to diversify beyond traditional academic audiences and reach new readers to develop new conversations around their work. Our services are tailored to meet your needs, whatever your publishing goals are.
Let us help you achieve your academic and commercial publication goals
Let's Get Started
Once we have all the guidelines and relevant information for your project, we will assess your materials and get back to you with our recommendations for service and a quote, including the turnaround time. If the proposed offer of services meets your needs, we can accept the first payment and begin the work. However, if you decide you would like to modify the proposed offer of services to better suit your needs, please let us know and we will adjust the order accordingly. We offer discounted retainer agreements (link to rates page) for clients interested in working with us long-term.
The turnaround time for an order is in direct proportion to the order’s size and scope. A full-length thesis is generally completed within 10-12 business days from receipt of payment, while a shorter document, such as a chapter or two typically takes around 5 business days to complete. Expedited services are available for a proportionate fee.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the benefit to using a firm like yours, rather than a freelance editor?
There are several advantages to doing business with a professional firm instead of a freelancer. Here are a few:
Quality: We specialise in editing theses and only hire doctorates from highly ranked University's. Every day, our staff review, edit, and format students’ theses. Not only are our editors and statisticians experienced, but each individual was hired through a rigorous screening process to ensure our clients receive the highest level of quality services. It is easy for a freelance editor to say what they want about themselves and their abilities; we’ve professionally trained and tested our staff to ensure they have the skills required to maintain the quality our clients have come to expect.
No Missed Deadlines: Freelance editors are known for failing to meet deadlines or disappearing after payment. This is often because freelance editors can only take on a few projects at a time, and if they become too busy, they may not prioritise your order over other clients’ orders. With a professional firm, you’re assured that your deadline will be met. If your editor or consultant becomes ill or is unable to complete the order, we would simply replace them with another one of our PhD staff.
Flexibility: Every person is unique and comes with their own personality and stylistic preferences. If you find that you’re not connecting with your editor or consultant, we can replace them with another editor, at no extra cost, to ensure that you’re completely satisfied.
Longevity: We are an accredited business, here for the long run, whether you need us today, tomorrow, or next year. We aren’t going anywhere.
Are your services confidential?
Yes, absolutely. All of your interactions and the work that we do for you are 100% confidential. Please let us know if you would like us to send you our Confidentiality Agreement.
Are you willing to sign a contract?
Of course! Once we agree to the general terms, we would be happy to draw up a contract and send it to you for review and approval.
How long does it take to edit a thesis?
The turnaround time varies, depending on the complexity of each order. We will provide you with the exact turnaround time for your specific order when we send you your quote and offer of services. Generally, documents containing fewer than 50 pages take around 5 to 7 business days to edit, whereas full-length theses (over 100 pages) typically take 7-12 business days. We do offer expedited services at an additional cost.
What if I no longer wish to work with my assigned editor or consultant?
That’s not a problem. Although all of our professional editors and statisticians are experienced and very good at what they do, sometimes two people don’t work well together. If you feel that your editor or statistician is not meeting your expectations, please let us know, and we will assign another editor/statistician to your project.
What if there are errors left in my edited document?
While no edit is going to be 100% perfect every time, typographical/objective errors should be very rare. If you find any errors in your document, simply return the document as soon as possible and we will fix the errors free of charge.
What level of editing will work best for my draft?
If you send your documents to us, we would be happy to review them and let you know which level of editing appears most appropriate for your project. We’re also happy to discuss the options available to you over the phone. +44 20 3992 848
Is it possible to receive a sample edit of my own work?
Yes. Please send us the document you would like edited and we will edit one page at no cost to you. We hope this will provide you with a good sense of our editorial style. The typical turnaround on a sample edit is two to three business days.
Do you have any samples of your own work? Can I meet with my editor in person?
Most orders do not require in-person meetings. However, we may be able to schedule in-person meetings for projects that are particularly large or involved.
Is it possible to speak with my editor over the phone, Whatsapp, or Zoom?
Yes. Our consultants and project managers are always available by phone. Many of our editing services also include a follow-up chat with your editor. If not, phone consultations can be added to any order for an additional charge. Please visit our coaching page for more details.
Will you write any part of my thesis, dissertation, or assignment for me?
No. Under no circumstances do we write content for academic submission and we unequivocally do not support plagiarism or academic dishonesty of any kind
How does payment work?
We offer a wide range of payment plans, though a deposit is always due upfront to initiate your order, and full payment is typically expected by the time the order is complete. Some exceptions can be made for returning clients with extenuating circumstances. We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, and bank transfers.
Is editing my thesis considered cheating?
No, it is not. Many supervisor recommend their students seek professional editing assistance to ensure that the text is free of technical errors and properly formatted. The service we provide focuses on improving the mechanics and clarity of your content, rather than writing new content, which would be considered plagiarism.
What does the quantitative data analysis process consist of?
Quantitative data analysis is a five step process. The first step is to define your research questions and hypotheses clearly. The second step is to determine how you are going to measure each component of your research question. The third step is to locate data that meets your measurement definition and prepare it to be analysed. The fourth step is to analyse your data using an analysis appropriate for your measurement definition and data. The fifth step is to interpret your results.
What does the qualitative data analysis process consist of?
Qualitative data analysis typically consists of three phases: Data Coding, Data Analysis, and Results Interpretation. In the first phase, a series of passes is conducted using NVivo (or MAXQDA) software to identify and extract relevant themes. In the second phase, these themes will be used to analyse your qualitative data, thereby generating quantitative information about your qualitative data. As part of this process, the broader themes of your qualitative material will also emerge. The analysis will not only generate these themes, but also produce evidence supporting their existence and relative strength. For the third phase you will need to interpret these results.
What parts of the data analysis process do you help with?
All of them. We’re happy to support you with any and all of the processes, as necessary.
I'm in a rush to finish my project. Can I skip any of the steps of the process?
I'm afraid not. Each step in the data analysis corresponds to underlying mathematical realities of statistical analysis and all are necessary to complete your dissertation.
Can you help with my methodology section?
Yes, certainly! Our methodologists will help you develop your methodology section and ensure your research methods are sound and that your research questions are testable and can be answered using the methods you chose.
I just have a few simple questions I need answered. Can you help?
Yes, certainly. If our PhD-Academic Consultants who field calls and emails can help you, they will. If not, we would be happy to make a consultation appointment with one of our PhD-statisticians for £90/hour, who will certainly be able to answer your questions.
