After your final revisions are complete, your manuscript has been edited, and you are completely finished with your thesis or dissertation, you’ll upload your manuscript to ProQuest. What is ProQuest, you might ask? ProQuest Central is the largest multidisciplinary full-text database on the market, providing access to 47 of ProQuest’s databases encompassing more than 175 subjects, making it one of the largest research resources in the world. Every year, more than 130,000 dissertations are added to ProQuest.

What’s involved in submitting my manuscript to ProQuest?

There are two ways you can submit your dissertation or thesis to ProQuest: through the official online submission tool called ETD Administrator; or through your school’s electronic submission method, which they then submit to ProQuest. It is typically required to be submitted in a PDF, so make sure all of the formatting is correct and appropriate prior to final submission. It cannot be password protected and no digital signature should be on it. If you have any supplemental information like spreadsheets, audio, or video, they need to be added as supplementary files and described in your abstract, along with any supporting documentation like reprint permission letters or third-party software licenses.

What about embargo options?

Students have the option to embargo their manuscript for up to two years. You might choose to do this in order to submit articles to journals for publication, if there are any patents pending, or if you’re concerned about data privacy. Some students want to turn their dissertation into a book, and an embargo may be a good choice if you’re thinking about this. People will buy your book to read your research rather than look up your dissertation online for free through their institution. Typically, the embargo options are 1 or 2 years. If you’re planning to hold off until a new publication comes out, the longer the embargo the better. If you’re considering putting an embargo on your manuscript, talking with your dissertation advisor about it can help you make an informed decision.

Will my dissertation be copyrighted?

If you live in the United States and want to register for a copyright for your dissertation, you can register for a copyright through the ETD Administrator in ProQuest for $55.00 to protect your manuscript and become immediately eligible for statutory damages and attorney fees. ProQuest submits the application to the United States Copyright for you and then gives you the certificate from the Library of Congress. Once your manuscript is published on ProQuest, a permanent link is created. This can be especially beneficial because it helps protect your work and your intellectual property.

Thesis Editor are experts with a heart of gold.

I received impressive service from Thesis Editor. I found them to be a bunch of professional experts with a heart of gold.

I'm a Doctorate student that is studying online. I needed assistance with data analysis and my internet search brought up Thesis Editor. Straight away I could tell that they were a high standard credible service and that I could trust them. They provided me a service that was beyond my expectations. They gave me knowledgeable experts to assist me with my data analysis. Not only did they provide me this incredible service, but they also took time to provide me the emotional support that I needed, because, online Doctorate studies is a very lonely journey. Sometimes you find yourself alone with your laptop.

Commonly, people with such high standards of service and skills are so proud of themselves and will not bother to care about the emotional well being of their customers. They will just be cutthroat, clinical and be no nonsense about their issues and yours.

That was not the case with Thesis Editor, they were not just about the money, but actually cared about the client. I'll be forever thankful to the staff of Thesis Editor
